Colorado Hunting Ranch

First Class Dog Training

Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel Colorado trains all breeds of dogs in basic dog obedience training. In addition, Ted can address specific dog behavior problems, such as aggression toward other dogs or chasing wildlife. His proven Colorado dog training methods are based on positive reinforcement and repetition.

The initial Colorado dog training session is 30 days. At the completion of that period, the owner will meet with Ted at Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel for one to two hours, during which the owner can review the dog’s progress and learn how to continue obtaining the same results at home.

After the initial 30-day session, the dogs are welcome to come back for shorter “tune up” sessions to continue the training or address any specific problems that arise.

Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel Colorado dog trains many hunting dogs each year. Young dogs are trained for upland and waterfowl bird hunting. They are Colorado dog trained to respond to voice, hand signal and whistle commands.

Colorado dog training is based on positive reinforcement, trust, and repetition. No force dog training is used. Ted strives for a finished hunting dog that is obedient and works in close range, but can work independently and think for himself in the field.

The ranch has been maintained as a wildlife park, preserving hundreds of acres of cover and several ponds. The wildlife habitat supports a natural population of wild pheasants and a range of waterfowl.
